What is the Ride Like in the Ford Flex?

You would think that a full-size SUV would give you the same rough ride as a full-size truck, but nothing could be further from the truth. Whether you are driving around Soda Springs, ID or out on the highway, the Ford Flex delivers a smooth ride, mostly due to the original suspension system.

Unlike other full-size SUVs, the Ford Flex does not use stiff truck suspensions. Instead, the Ford Flex comes with a suspension system designed for comfort instead of performance. The front suspension system uses independent MacPherson struts with rear-facing lower L-arms to reduce the effect of the bumps in the road. The rear suspension is a fully independent multi-link design that is completely isolated from the rear subframe negating the sway effect so often felt in full-size SUVs.

At Todd Hunzeker Ford Inc. we service and maintain the independent structure of the Ford Flex suspension system to ensure the smoothest of rides.
